Luggage and accessories maker Safari Industries Ltd reported a 13 percent increase in net profit to Rs 43 crore ($5.2 million) for the quarter ended March 31, as against Rs 38 crore in the year-ago period.
The company’s sales for the quarter rose by 21 percent to Rs 365 crore, as against Rs 303 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
Safari’s total expenses during the quarter rose to Rs 315 crore from Rs 256 crore in the year-ago quarter.
For the financial year 2024, the company’s net profit stood at Rs 176 crore on a sales revenue of Rs 1,550 crore.
Mumbai-based Safari Industries product range includes travel accessories, backpacks, duffel bags, and gift items among other products. It retails through its direct to customer e-commerce store and retail stores across India.
