Reliance Retail opens 50th Gap store in India in Mumbai’s Phoenix Palladium Mall

US based apparel brand Gap has launched its 50th brick-and-mortar store in the Indian market in partnership with retail giant Reliance Retail. Located on the second floor of Mumbai’s Phoenix Palladium Mall, the store caters to men, women, and children.

“We are proud to partner with Reliance Retail to continue growing [the] Gap brand in India,” said Gap Inc’s senior vice president of franchise and wholesale Facundo Ginobili in a press release. “Achieving this milestone of 50 stores reflects the incredible enthusiasm for the brand in the market and reinforces our commitment to delivering iconic American style to customers across the region.”

As the 50th store launch since the beginning of Gap and Reliance Retail’s partnership in 2022, the outlet marks a milestone in the brand’s continued expansion in the country. Shoppers can browse a range of casual western wear in the new store including Gap’s signature denim and logo products. 

“We are thrilled to unveil the new Gap store at Phoenix Palladium Mall,” said Reliance Retail Limited’s president and CEO of fashion and lifestyle Akhilesh Prasad. “This store represents a fresh and vibrant evolution of Gap’s retail experience in India, combining global style with unbeatable value. On visiting the new Gap stores, customer will not only discover the new product range, but a tech-enabled shopping experience including smart trial rooms, endless aisle and an omni experience, along with a better price value.”
