Purplle opens beauty store in New Delhi

Multi-brand cosmetics and personal care retailer Purplle has opened a new brick-and-mortar outlet in New Delhi’s Laxmi Nagar neighbourhood to bring a selection of Indian and international brands to the metro’s shoppers along with its private label offerings.

Entrepreneurs Manish Taneja and Rahul Dash launched Purplle in 2012 with the aim of offering a wide selection of accessible beauty and personal care products to the Indian public, according to Purplle’s website. Along with its brick-and-mortar outlets, the business also retails from its e-commerce platform which has a portfolio of over 1,000 Indian and international brands.
 
In the 2023 financial year, Purplle reported an operating revenue of Rs 474.9 crore, Inc42 reported. The business became a unicorn in 2022 and its investors include the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), Kedaara, Premji Invest, and Sequoia Capital India among others, India Retailing reported.
