Prabhas is currently involved in the shooting of his period film, tentatively called PrabhasHanu, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. Now, it seems that the actor is soon slated to announce his next movie with the director Prasanth Varma as well.
As per a quote unveiled by Galatta Telugu’s Ram Venkat Srikar, director Prasanth has teased about his new movie which will have a big star in the lead. According to his tweet, the director said, “I’m working with a very big star. We have worked on a poster and it’s ready. Will announce it soon.”
For those unaware, there has been quite a buzz going around that the HanuMan director would soon be working with the Rebel Star for one of his upcoming ventures. Additionally, the film is expected to bring the actor into the director’s cinematic universe called PVCU (Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe).
Moreover, the production company, Hombale Films had also recently announced that they will be bankrolling three of Prabhas’ movie lineups. The first one out of the lot is Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam, directed by Prashanth Neel. While the sequel movie is slated to release in 2026, the makers had also announced that two more Prabhas movies would be released in 2027 and 2028.
One of them is speculated to be the Prasanth Varma directorial, and the other one is rumored to be a collaboration of the Kalki actor with director Lokesh Kanagaraj. However, an official confirmation regarding these speculations are yet to be made clear by the makers.
Furthermore, Prasanth Varma had recently hit the headlines after he announced the much-awaited sequel to his 2024 blockbuster HanuMan. The sequel which is titled as Jai Hanuman will feature Rishab Shetty as the titular character and will also be inside the PVCU. Furthermore, films like Maha Kali and Adhira are also taking place inside the universe.

On the other hand, Prabhas is all set to hit the big screens next with his horror-comedy movie called The Raja Saab. The film slated to release on April 10, 2025, would have the actor in a whole new element and expected to play a dual role.
Furthermore, the actor also is said to begin the works for Spirit with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga with a muhurat shot in December 2024, with a subsequent shoot in 2025.
