Page Industries Ltd, which licenses Jockey and Speedo products in India reported a 34 percent rise in its third-quarter profit at Rs 205 crore ($23.4 million), as compared with Rs 152 crore a year ago.
The company’s revenue for the quarter grew by 7 percent to Rs 1,313 crore, as against Rs 1,246 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
Modern retail including exclusive branded Stores and e-commerce reported impressive growth during the quarter.
However, the company’s operating environment in Q3 was affected by subdued demand conditions.
Commenting on the results, V S Ganesh, managing director of Page Industries Ltd in a statement said, “I am thrilled to announce that we have achieved strong profit growth, driven by consistent revenue increases and meticulous control over operating expenses.
