The Oman India Investment Fund has sold off shares in fine jewellery brand Senco Gold worth Rs 75 crore through an open market transaction and ICICI Prudential Life Insurance has picked up a 0.63% stake in the business.
The Oman India Investment Fund II sold off 5.89 lakh shares in Senco Gold which amounted to a 0.76% stake in the business, according to data available on the Bombay Stock Exchange, the Press Trust of India reported. The bulk deal saw Oman India Investment Fund II offload its shares at an average price of Rs 1,280.16 each to take the transaction value to Rs 75.52 crore.
Following the transaction, The Oman India Investment Fund II’s stake in Senco Gold was reduced from 2.03% to 1.27%, India Retailing reported. ICICI Prudential Life Insurance purchased 4.9 lakh shares in Senco Gold at an average price of Rs 1,280 per share.
