New Balance opens its first store in Chennai

US-based sports brand New Balance has expanded its retail presence in the southern region of India with the launch of its first store in the city of Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

The store located at the at Phoenix Palladium will house the latest collections from the brand across categories like footwear, apparel and accessories.

Commenting on the expansion, Radeshwer Davar, country manager for New Balance India in a statement said, “It is a special feeling to launch our first store in Chennai, at Phoenix Palladium. This is yet another significant milestone that solidifies our aspiration for New Balance’s retail expansion in India.”

“The city of Chennai embodies an amazing combination of sports & culture that makes it a great fit for New Balance, and we look forward to welcoming the people of Chennai to try the New Balance experience,” he added.

Founded in 1906, New Balance reported a global sales total of $6.5 billion in 2023 and employs 9,000 associates around the world.
