Footwear and sports brand New Balance has expanded its India product offering and launched its ‘Made in USA and Made in UK’ line in select stores in the country. Launching at Linking Road, Mumbai and Brigade Road, Bengaluru, the collection is designed to enable Indian shoppers to connect more deeply with the brand’s heritage.
“Combining innovative technology with timeless style, ‘Made’ is a true representation of New Balance’s ‘fearlessly independent’ ethos,” announced the brand in a press release. “With five factories in the USA and one in the UK, the brand’s ‘Made’ line understands that great workmanship extends beyond the first stitch. It recognises the significance of acquiring the finest of raw material and integrating it with meticulous craftsmanship to ensure that each shoe projects supreme quality.”
New Balance’s ‘Made in USA’ line is designed to showcase authentic American craftsmanship and its seasonal collections are helmed by creative director Teddy Santis, who is also the owner and founder of the New York-based lifestyle brand, Aime Leon Dore. New Balance’s ‘Made in the UK’ line has been available since 1982, presents its own takes on brand signatures, and features FuelCell cushioning for comfort and support with six different colours available.
New Balance has been independent since 1906 and is headquartered in Boston in the US. The business currently employs 9,000 associates around the world and operates five footwear factories in New England in the US and one in Flimby in the UK.
