Premium leather goods and accessories brand Nappa Dori has made its brick-and-mortar retail debut in Sri Lanka. Located at the Departures segment of Bandaranayake International Airport in Colombo, the store houses a wide range of fashion and travel goods.
“Vanakkam Sri Lanka,” announced Nappa Dori on Facebook. “Step in and get on board the journey of timeless style at our airport sanctuary in the heart of tropical paradise in Colombo, Sri Lanka… Our handcrafted leather goods find a new home in the pearl of the Indian Ocean.”
The store has a fully wooden interior to create a vintage aesthetic, which is juxtaposed with technological features such as large digital screens which show Nappa Dori’s latest brand campaigns. Shoppers can browse the label’s range of handbags, leather accessories, travel bags, and laptop bags, among other designs for men and women.
By opening at Colombo’s international airport, Nappa Dori’s store will enjoy high levels of passing traffic from diverse demographics. The brand retails numerous products catering to travellers including suitcases, leather organisers, air pod cases, and bags suitable for hand-luggage.
Gautam Sinha launched Nappa Dori in 2010 in New Delhi after graduating from the National Institute of Fashion and Technology. The brand aims to offer functional and timeless products for modern life and also retails in India, the UK, and UAE, according to its website.
