Apparel brand Mufti has opened an exclusive brand outlet in Raipur’s Ambuja Mall to bolster its retail presence in the Chhattisgarh state capital. The new store retails the label’s selection of men’s casual wear such as denim, t-shirts, and other playful separates.
Mufti’s Raipur store launch is part of the label’s plan to become India’s first global fashion brand with desi roots, Apparel Resources reported. With its slogan ‘Mufti – Alternative Clothing,’ the brand aims to provide a casual wardrobe for the modern Indian man, InFashion Business reported.
Mufti joins a wide range of Indian and international fashion and lifestyle brands in Ambuja Mall including Van Heusen, Trends, Kazo, Bella Vita, Nautica, Marks & Spencer, Blackberrys, and Jack & Jones among others, according to the mall’s Instagram page. The shopping centre is located on Raipur’s Vidhan Sabha Road.
Mufti has focused both on expanding its brick-and-mortar footprint and its product offering. In May this year, the brand launched a new Gen Z focused sub-brand named 400050 which retails garments such as graphic t-shirts featuring its numerical brand name and button down shirts among others.
Entrepreneur Kamal Khushlani launched Mufti in 1998. The label is inspired by the city of Mumbai and counts over 120 large format stores in India.
