Modi Enterprises plans to take its beauty brand Colorbar public in the coming three years. Modi Enterprises plans to continue to expand Colorbar across India and take it to new international markets.
Modi Enterprises runs Colorbar along with labels including Modicare, 24Seven, Shanghai Tang, and Funda Goli among others, according to its website. “Together, these brands [Colorbar, 24Seven, and Modicare] generate about Rs 3,000 crore to Rs 3,500 crore revenue but we expect Colorbar to grow 50% this year and with the plan of increasing exports to international markets, we believe it has a potential to grow faster,” Colorbar’s managing director Samir K Modi told the Economic Times.
Colorbar is predicted by Modi Enterprises to reach the Rs 1,000 crore revenue mark in the next financial year, which will be fuelled by global expansion. In the 2024 financial year, Colorbar’s revenue was at Rs 530 crore, ET Bureau reported.
The cosmetics brand currently retails in India through its direct to customer e-commerce store and its retail outlets and kiosks in cities across the country, according to its website. Colorbar recently released a ‘Light Summer Makeup’ collection of lightweight products designed to last in hot weather, the brand announced on Facebook. With a mixture of skin products and colour cosmetics, the brand aims to cater to the needs of Indians during the hot summer months.
