Ayurvedic and natural beauty brand Just Herbs aims to expand its reach into non-metro locations to further penetrate Tier 2 and 3 cities while widening its offering by launching between three and four new products each month.
Just Herbs is looking to rural markets for its next phase of growth, ET Bureau reported. The business now counts over 500 sales points in India and has seen particular demand for its products from Maharashtra and Bengaluru.
“After an incredible journey of building Just Herbs from the ground up, Megha and I have officially handed over the reigns of the brand to Marico’s able hands,” Just Herbs’ co-founder Arush Chopra told ET Retail in an interview. “From starting it as a bootstrapped D2C [direct to customer] venture with a three-member team in Mohali to scaling it to an omni-channel brand with global reach, we are proud of building a fundamentally strong business… Under Marico’s leadership, its legacy of consumer-focused innovation will continue to thrive.”
Neena Chopra, Arush Chopra, and Megha Sabhlok launched Just Herbs in 2014 in Chandigarh. The brand is known for its sustainable practices and translation of Ayurvedic principles into modern beauty solutions.
Marico completed its acquisition of Just Herbs in September this year when it secured the remaining 40% of the business from Just Herbs’ owner Apcos Naturals Private Limited. Just Herbs now plans to harness Marico’s distribution network to expand its brand.
