Malabar Group announces scholarships for 21,000 girl students

Malabar Group, a diversified Indian business conglomerate and owner of Malabar Gold & Diamonds, announced scholarships for 21,000 girl students at its National Scholarship Programme for 2024 at the Bharat Diamond Bourse in Mumbai.

The event was inaugurated by Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal and launched a new milestone in the Malabar National Scholarship Programme, the business announced in a press release. The organisation has allocated Rs 16 crore to run the initiative.
 
“Education is the most powerful tool to change the world,” said Malabar Group’s chairman MP Ahammed in a press release. “Our scholarship programme is a direct reflection of Malabar Group’s deep-rooted belief that education unlocks opportunities and transforms lives. We are committed to removing barriers for young girls so they can fulfil their educational aspirations and contribute meaningfully to society.”
 
The Malabar National Scholarship Programme was established in 2007. To date, the programme has provided financial aid to more than 95,000 girl students across India with an investment of over Rs 60 crore.
 
The Malabar Charitable Trust was founded in 1999 and is the corporate social responsibility wing of the Malabar Group of Companies. The business’ flagship company is fine jewellery business Malabar Gold & Diamonds, through which Malabar Charitable Trust activities are run.
