On June 29, fine jewellery brand Malabar Gold & Diamonds will launch a new UK store in Leicester. Located at the city’s Golden Mile, the store launch will bring the Kerala based brand’s store count for the country to two.
“We welcome you to the grand inauguration of our brand-new store in Leicester, marking our second store in the UK,” announced the brand on Facebook. “Join us on June 29 to explore our intricate design collection and enjoy our inaugural offers. Come celebrate with us and experience shopping like never before. See you in Leicester!”
The store will launch with an opening offer of free gold coins on the purchase of diamond and precious gemstone jewellery priced at £750 and above. Customers can also exchange their 22 carat gold jewellery without any cost.
The store will house over 20,000 designs from over 20 countries, according to the brand. Along with lightweight, everyday pieces, the store will also retail heavyweight bridal jewellery, launching in time for the UK’s summer wedding season.
By opening a brick-and-mortar store in Leicester, Malabar Gold & Diamonds aims to connect with the large numbers of non-resident Indians living in the city, as well as across the Midlands area of the UK. The brand launched its first ever UK store in London in 2023.
