Malabar Gold & Diamonds launches new Punjab store in Amritsar (#1688442)

Fine jewellery brand Malabar Gold & Diamonds has bolstered its brick-and-mortar presence in Punjab and launched an exclusive brand outlet in Amritsar. Located on the city’s 14th Mall Road, the store measures an expansive 4,000 square feet. 

Malabar Gold & Diamonds’ latest north India store has opened its doors to the public as the brand works to strengthen its presence in key Indian cities, Jewellery Outlook reported. The store is designed to cater to the varied tastes of Amritsar’s shoppers with bridal and festive jewellery available alongside more lightweight, everyday options. 

The store is Malabar Gold & Diamonds’ first in the city of Amritsar, the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council reported on its website. Punjab’s former deputy chief minister Om Prakash Soni attended the store’s inauguration event alongside members of the label’s management team and other local dignitaries. 

The store has a deep red and gold facade, mixing digital screens with floral wreaths. Inside the store, shoppers can browse gold and diamond jewellery for men and women with seating areas for customer consultations. 

Malabar Gold & Diamonds has an approximate an annual turnover of $6.2 billion and is a prominent fine jewellery retailer in the global economy. The brand retails from its network of exclusive brand outlets across India and also counts global stores in countries including the US, Canada, the UK, Malaysia, Singapore, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia among others.
