Lulu Group looks to increase share of Indian fashion market, plans Bengaluru event

Indian founded, UAE based retail giant Lulu Group aims to increase its share of the Indian fashion market to tap into the increasing demand for branded apparel. The business plans to hold a large scale fashion show at its Bengaluru mall as part of this growth strategy.

“India is a large marketplace where many large retail fashion players coexist,” said Lulu Group’s regional director Shareef K K, The Hindu reported. “We are constantly expanding in the country. We are offering the lifestyle that people want, through various retail formats, including Lulu Malls and Lulu Hypermarkets.”
 
As part of its strategy to bolster its association with fashion in India, Lulu Group will organise a three-day fashion show at its Bengaluru mall featuring labels including Louis Philippe, Levi’s, Venfield, Pepe Jeans, Jockey, Damoza, Blossom, American Tourister, and Peter England among others. The event will also feature a fashion awards ceremony and is designed to present fashion as attainable for all.
 
As well as its Bengaluru location, Lulu Group runs a number of malls in India including in Lucknow, Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, and Hyderabad, according to its mall Facebook pages. The business retails over 100 Indian and international fashion brands in its malls and retail outlets and plans to continue to expand its offering.
