Lifestyle launches 124th India store in Surat

Fashion and beauty business Lifestyle has brought its India brick-and-mortar store count to 124 with the opening of its new department store in Surat. The two-storey store houses a multi-brand selection of products for men, women, and children and is Lifestyle’s eighth in the state of Gujarat and third in the city of Surat itself. 

“We are excited to announce the launch of our third store in Surat,” wrote Lifestyle International Private Limited’s senior vice president of operations (west) Vivek Thilakan in a post on Linkedin, sharing a video of the store. “The new 30,000 square foot store located at The Profit, Madhuvan Circle… Surat offers a seamless shopping experience and carries the latest trends in apparels, footwear, accessories and beauty brands.”

As Lifestyle’s 28th store in India’s western region and features clothing labels including Kappa, Only, Levi’s, Peppermint, and Libas among others. Along with clothing, the store features a dedicated segment for eyewear as well as for beauty with both Indian and international labels. 

The store’s opening marks a “significant step towards expanding our footprint and making Lifestyle accessible to a wider customer base,” wrote Thilakan. The store is designed to fuse technology with and engaging shopping experience and features include ‘click and collect’ options for online purchases and self-checkout facilities among others. 

Lifestyle has been opening new department stores at a steady pace since reaching a store total of 100 in May 2023. Over the coming three to four years, the business aims to launch at least 50 new outlets, India Retailing reported.
