When the Paris luxury brand will link-up with legendary master horseman and equestrian circus founder Bartabas in an avant twist to the event.

The famed exhibition hall had been closed for several years during extensive renovations for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympics – reopening to host fencing, wheelchair fencing, taekwondo and para taekwondo.

During the rebuilding, Hermès moved the event to a temporary location, Grand Palais Ephémère, behind the Eiffel Tower. But next year, Le Saut Hermès will take place in Grand Palais on March 21, 22 and 23.

No prestige brand is as linked to an animal as Hermès, which began life in 1837 making high-quality harnesses and bridles.

“Hermès has organized the Saut Hermès since its launch in 2010 and will again host some of the world’s greatest riders at the Grand Palais for the fifteenth edition of this major event in the international equestrian calendar,” Hermès said in a release.

Experienced riders or newcomers, professionals or amateurs can come to celebrate the horse at this CSI 5* competition, the highest category classified by the French Equestrian Federation (FFE) and the International Equestrian Federation (FEI).

The world’s finest riders will gather under the nave of the Grand Palais to compete in the nine showjumping classes. In keeping with the spirit of transmission dear to the Parisian saddler, twenty rising stars under the age of 25 will be mentored by riders on the CSI 5* circuit as they compete in the three original Talents Hermès events created in 2011.

Hermès will also fete its “first customer, the horse,” with demonstrations of know-how by the brand’s artisan saddlers, a dedicated bookshop and activities for the whole family. Younger guests will also have the chance to ride ponies and try their hand at grooming activities.

To mark the event’s return to the Grand Palais, Hermès is reuniting with Bartabas, founder and artistic director of the Académie Équestre de Versailles, for a show created with his prestigious school’s female riders.
