Kourtney Kardashian has revealed she is recovering from urgent foetal surgery as she praised doctors for “saving” her baby’s life.
The news comes after her husband Travis Barker’s band, Blink-182, announced they were postponing concerts in the UK and Ireland as the singer returned home due to an “urgent family matter”.
On Instagram on Wednesday, reality TV star Kardashian, 44, wrote: “I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life.
“I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this.
“As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent foetal surgery.
“I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear. I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant.”
Kardashian, who is expecting her first child with Barker, concluded: “Praise be to God. Walking out of the hospital with my baby boy in my tummy and safe was the truest blessing.”

Blink-182 postponed shows in Glasgow, Belfast and Dublin due to what the band said at the time was an “urgent family matter”, which meant he “had to return home” to the US.
The band also wrote on social media last Friday morning: “More information in regards to his return to Europe and rescheduled dates will be provided as soon as available.”
Blink-182 had been scheduled to play Glasgow‘s OVO Hydro arena last Friday and Saturday before moving to Belfast‘s SSE Arena on Monday this week and Dublin‘s 3 Arena yesterday.
Barker, 47, also shared photos from what appeared to be an airport prayer room to his Instagram story.
In June, Kardashian posted an Instagram video showing her holding up a sign at a Blink-182 concert saying: “Travis I’m pregnant.”
