Luxury brand Jimmy Choo has named princess Gauravi Kumari as its new brand ambassador for the Indian market. The appointment has further deepened the entrepreneur’s connection to the world of fashion as she continues to run the Princess Diya Kumari Foundation store.
“I am honoured to be joining the Jimmy Choo family as an ambassador for the house,” announced Gauravi Kumari on Instagram. “Jimmy Choo is synonymous with exceptional craftsmanship and glamour. I have always loved wearing Jimmy Choo.”
Gauravi Kumari’s work for the Princess Diya Kumari Foundation store supports her mother’s charitable foundation of the same name. The store focuses on sustainable fashion and offers products made from deadstock textiles to reduce waste. Kumari has also attended Dior runway shows and worked on charitable initiatives with the brands Anita Dongre and Ralph Lauren.
“I first discovered my love for fashion while studying in New York and experienced a mélange of cultures, style, art and striking fashion,” Kumari told Vogue India about her start in fashion. “That was the first spark that kindled my interest in this world… I feel incredibly honoured to join hands with such an iconic fashion house as Jimmy Choo. They have been a force to reckon with in the fashion world and are known for their unwavering commitment to exceptional craftsmanship and design.”
