Hugh Grant and his wife Anna Elisabet Eberstein have donated £20,000 to a charity that supports vulnerable and disabled people.
Depher CIC provides free plumbing and heating services to those affected by fuel poverty.
Thanking the Love Actually actor and his Swedish television producer wife for the donation, the charity posted a picture on social media of the couple, along with the bank transfer statement confirming the amount.
It said the “wonderful and humbling” donation will “give hope to thousands of people, families and children”.

A few hours later, the charity posted images of piles of toys it has purchased with the star’s donation.
“Thank you, @HackedOffHugh Grant and Anna Grant. Your kindness will create memories that will last forever,” the charity said.
Dubbed “Britain’s kindest plumber”, James Anderson – the founder of Depher – told ITV News that the couple have donated to the charity in the past.
He said the latest donation brings the total the couple have donated to £75,000.

The charity, which was established in 2017, has supported more than two million people with gas, electricity, food vouchers, remote emergency plumbing and heating services, and shopping deliveries from local supermarkets, according to a GoFundMe page
It has currently raised more than £20,000 for its 2023 Depher Winter Warmer Campaign to continue its work.

Grant and Eberstein were among a host of celebrities in Manchester for the Chanel Metiers d’Art show on Thursday.
The couple, who married in 2018, attended the fashion show’s after-party at Victoria Baths in Manchester, as Grant took time away from promoting his latest film, Wonka.
