Wellness and personal care brand Hoop has onboarded athlete and Olympic medalist PV Sindhu as its new brand ambassador. Sindhu has also invested in the business as both Sindhu and Hoop prepare for the Olympics.
“I tried Hoop products for months and was incredibly impressed with their value not just for athletes, but for anyone who is focusing on living an active life,” said Sindhu, Indian Retailer Bureau reported. “I’m thrilled to be partnering with Hoop on their mission to help India live active.”
Hoop’s products include body lotions which contain magnesium to give muscle relief, topical pain relief roll-ons and sprays, and sleep mists, and epsom body washes among others, according to its website. All of the brand’s products are also dermatologically tested. “With Olympics 2024 right around the corner, Hoop is incredibly proud of Sindhu’s trust in our brand,” said Hoop’s co-founder Saharsh Agarwal.
Saharsh Agarwal and Twinkle Uppal launched Hoop in October 2023 and the brand retails from its direct to customer e-commerce store. Currently catering to over 1,000 Indian cities, Hoop has had support from angel investors including Oyo’s CEO Abhinav Sinha and Good Glamm Group’s co-founder Naiyya Saggi among others.
“Hoop emerged out of the unmet wellness needs of young India,” said Hoop’s co-founder Twinkle Uppal. “Our lifestyles have changed- muscle recovery after workouts, injury prevention during sports, back pain from long sitting hours, neck pain from tech devices, and screentime-induced sleep troubles. While our needs have changed, there are limited innovative products today that fit the lifestyle of new India.”
