Gillette India reported a 26 percent rise in net profit to Rs 116 crore ($13.8 million) for the fourth quarter, as against Rs 92 crore in the year-ago quarter.
The company’s revenue for the quarter grew by 4 percent year-on-year to Rs 645 crore with strong contributions from the grooming segment which stood at Rs 520 crore.
Gillette which follows the June-July financial year reported a net profit of Rs 412 crore on a revenue of Rs 2,633 crore for the full fiscal year.
Commenting on the results, V Kumar, managing director of Gillette India in a statement said, “This was another strong performance by Gillette India, delivering a balanced top-line and bottom-line growth in the fiscal. These results were enabled by our team’s superior execution of the integrated strategy. This strategy is yielding consistent results for us, and therefore remains the right way forward as we step into the new fiscal year.”
Gillette India is engaged in the manufacturing and sale of fast-moving consumer goods with strong presence in the grooming segment.
