Jewellery brand Forest of Chintz has expanded its accessories offering and launched new lines ‘JouJou’ and ‘Venetian’ at its flagship store in Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi. The jewellery and accessories lines incorporate new materials and feature global design influences.
“We are proud to introduce a new language of design, where we wanted to push the boundaries of how craftsmanship and design come together, creating a new language of style that feels both timeless and unconventional,” said Forest of Chintz’s founders Sumangali Gada and Nitai Mehta in a press release. “Our inspiration comes from visionary pioneers who redefined art, architecture, and fashion, and we’ve translated that spirit into pieces that celebrate bold self-expression. At Forest of Chintz, every creation is more than just an accessory- it’s a statement, a work of art, and a reflection of the fearless individuality of the women who wear them.”
The brand’s ‘Venetian’ collection is inspired by Venetian mirrors and Art Deco aesthetics. Using acrylic elements, Forest of Chintz aims to fuse historical and contemporary design. For ‘JouJou,’ the label took inspiration from the mid-20th century to create a colourful and bold collection.
Forest of Chintz’s parent company Adity has worked with global fashion businesses since 1967 and specialises in embroidery. Forest of Chintz’s founders Sumangali Gada and Nitai Mehta have also launched the Praja Foundation, which works in the urban governance and accountability sectors in India, along with NGO the Madhu Mehta Foundation, which works with underprivileged children.
