With BillDesk, Flipkart has launched new recharge and bill payment categories including landline, broadband, and mobile postpaid bill payments as well as FasTag and DTH recharges, which can be completed on the Flipkart mobile app. These new services add on to preexisting services Flipkart offers such as prepaid mobile recharging and electricity bill payment.

The new payment services have been integrated, with BillDesk’s help, into the Bharat Bill Payments System, which was rolled out by the National Payments Corporation of India. Flipkart has expanded its payment options in numerous ways this year and also partnered with Axis Bank in March to launch its own United Payments Interface handle to facilitate both online and offline merchant transactions on Flipkart and beyond.
