Flipkart’s FlipInTrends launched to help brands to optimise their growth opportunities during the busy festive shopping season, the Walmart-owned business announced in a press release. The service is available on the Flipkart mobile app and uses early-stage generative AI innovations to provide insights based on learnings from over 500 million registered users so brands can tailor their offerings to consumer demand.

“The launch of FlipInTrends marks a significant milestone in our journey to curate cutting-edge trends and redefine the fashion shopping experience for our customers,” said Flipkart Fashion’s senior director Pallavi Saxena in a press release. “We are dedicated to supporting and focusing on Indian fashion brands by ensuring that they have access to the best insights, which in turn enables brands to bring the trendiest collections to the Flipkart marketplace. The launch event celebrated fashion in every way, with brands, influencers and industry thought leaders coming together to experience what we believe is the future of fashion in India.”

Flipkart celebrated the launch with a fashion event in the capital where the business was joined by representatives from Meta, WGSN, and Libas for a knowledge sharing session. Rhea Kapoor gave a talk on style and a runway show presented a selection of trending looks with Mouni Roy closing the show as its showstopper.
