FMCG major Emami Ltd reported a 7 percent increase in net profit to Rs 279 crore ($32.3 million) in the third quarter ended December 2024, as against Rs 261 crore in the year-ago quarter.
The company’s revenue for the quarter rose by 5 percent to Rs 1,049 crore, as against Rs 996 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
Commenting over the results, Mohan Goenka, vice chairman of Emami Ltd in a statement said. “FY25 is shaping up to be a promising year as Emami continues to deliver profit-driven growth, achieving improved margins across the board. EBITDA increased by 8 per cent during the quarter, with margins expanding by 70 basis points underscoring our strong focus on operational excellence.”
“The strategic rebranding of Fair and Handsome to Smart and Handsome, inspired by deep consumer insights coupled with strategic initiatives for skin care and haircare brands offers significant growth potential,” he added.
Founded in 1974, Emami Ltd offers personal care products through its portfolio of brands that includes Navratna, Boroplus, Fair & Handsome, Zandu Balm, Mentho Plus and Kesh King among others.
