Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana collaborated with renowned photographer Steven Meisel, under the artistic direction of Fabien Baron, to create the expression of timelessness, while leaning towards the future.

Meisel curated the campaign for the pre-collection 2023 and has been collaborating with the brand since the late 80s, creating some of contemporary fashion’s most memorable moments.

Set against an intimate and sensual backdrop, Meisel captures the essence of the new global it-girl, Maya Jama, who poses with self-assurance and elegance on a designer chaise-longue. 

The focal point of the campaign revolves around the interplay of transparent materials found in the collection’s apparel, with a contrast between absolute black and passionate red. Similarly, the Men’s Collection shots are seamlessly woven into the same universe. 

Jama is an English television presenter and radio DJ. Most recently, she was the presenter of ITV2’s dating series Love Island. Previously, she has been captured wearing Dolce & Gabbana both on TV and the red carpet. 

In May, Dolce & Gabbana also linked up with luxury e-tailer Mytheresa on an exclusive menswear capsule collection, available globally on the webstore.
