Cosmetics industry event Cosmoprof India 2024 welcomed an estimated 9,000 visitors, showcased new products and trends, and featured a fashion presentation by Paras and Shalini of the label Geisha Designs on its opening night.

Over 700 exhibitors presented their latest innovations in Mumbai at Cosmoprof India’s 2024 edition and 22 countries were represented through stalls and dedicated pavilions, The Quint reported. Paras and Shalini of Geisha Designs took the occasion to present their new collection ‘Audrey’ as part of the event. Designed to mix vintage and modern inspirations, the collection featured chiffon and tulle textiles and highlighted embroidery work and jewel toned hues.
Along with product and collection showcases, Cosmoprof India also featured industry discussions and insights. Lakme Lever’s CEO Vipul Chaturvedi spoke on the growth potential of India’s salon industry and opined that its current modest size presents a significant opportunity to businesses looking to expand in the sector.
Fixderma India’s managing director Shaily Mehrotra highlighted the topic of skin health and long-term aesthetic concerns. Other executives and industry names who shared their insights at the event included Broadway Retail’s CEO Vivek Biyani and Looks Salon’s CEO Samir Srivastav. Numerous speakers opined that premium beauty products are rising in popularity in India and the country’s rising prominence in the global market was also noted.
