“Inspired by the enigmatic allure of nocturnal hunters, Comet’s Tarantula sneakers spin a web of modern menace and sleek sophistication,” announced Comet in a press release. “Draped in plush black suede, these sneakers echo the tarantula’s shadowy elegance with a design that combines intricate quilted stitching, mimicking the spider’s silk artistry, with a striking geometric pattern.”

The Tarantula sneaker is priced at Rs 4,299 per pair and has gone live on Comet’s e-commerce store. By launching just 500 pairs in the new design, Comet aims to engage shoppers and tap into the growing market for limited edition streetwear goods in the Indian market.

Comet’s ‘Tarantula’ sneaker follows the brand’s ‘X Lows’ sneaker design and comes in the hue ‘Black CS’. The shoes have three-layer SpaceWalk soles and are designed to mix style with comfort as part of Comet’s ‘Never Shy, Never Sorry’ brand philosophy.

Entrepreneurs and sneaker enthusiasts Utkarsh Gupta and Dishant Daryani launched Comet to “redefine the sneaker culture in India,” according to the label. Retailing from its direct to customer e-commerce store, Comet has witnessed rapid month-on-month growth since its inception, according to its press release.
