Value fashion retailer Citykart has launched over 25 new brick-and-mortar stores across the states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam, and Odisha. The Gurugram-based business has bolstered its retail presence ahead of the festive season to tap into festive shopping demand.
“The festive season brings cheer, and we are thrilled and fully prepared for the upcoming sales,” said Citykart Retail’s chief operating officer Ritesh Rathi, IndianRetailing reported. “Launching 25 to 30 new Citykart stores across Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and other new states reflects our dedication to better serving our customers.”
The business expects these new stores to help to drive revenue growth and their collective launch has created up to 600 new employment opportunities ahead of the festive season. Citykart is eyeing a revenue total of Rs 950 crore to Rs 1,000 crore this financial year as it continues to expand its brick-and-mortar footprint.
Citykart’s store in Ranchi, Jharkhand has just opened its doors to the public, the brand announced on Facebook. The retailer is also gearing up to launch stores in cities including Kishanganj, Gaya, Bhagalpur, Barh, Madhubani, Seohar, Jamui, Muzaffarpur, and Ara among others. Citykart will open its first brick-and-mortar store in New Delhi to reach metro shoppers looking for value apparel goods for the family.
