Birla Cellulose incorporates textile waste into its yarn – Birla Cellulose

“Derived from the word ‘everyday,’ ‘Roz’ epitomises the amalgamation of design and sustainability,” announced Birla Cellulose in a press release. “These elevated basics are designed with comfort in mind, making them an easy choice for everyday attire. The line has been mindfully designed with small yet significant detailing in every product.”

The Roz collection is made with Birla Cellulose’s Reviva-M grade circular yarn blend. This yarn is made from a mixture of cotton pre-consumer waste, Birla Cellulose’s Birla Excel fibres, and indigenous kala cotton, thereby helping to reduce in waste in fashion while simultaneously preserving indigenous cotton.

Birla Cellulose plans to continue building on Roz as a line of wearable and easily washable clothing. Roz specialises in everyday wear and features Ka-sha’s signature blend of modernity and femininity.

Birla Cellulose describes itself as a “pioneer in the field of sustainable fibres” and its fibres include Viscose, Modal, and Lyocell. The business focuses on environmental governance, which includes ethically procuring raw materials from which to make its yarn and making its manufacturing process as eco-friendly as possible.
