Avenue Supermarts, owner of retail chain Dmart reported an 18 percent increase in its standalone revenue at Rs 15,565 crore in the quarter that ended on December 31, as against Rs 13,247 crore during the same quarter in 2023-24.
In the second quarter, the company had reported a 6 percent year-on-year increase in net profit to Rs 660 crore ($78.5 million).
In the first half of the year, Dmart had seen growth in its online grocery formats including Dmart Ready in large metro Dmart stores which operate at a very high turnover per square feet of revenue.
Additionally, Dmart Ready business had witnessed a growth of 22 percent in H1FY25.
The company expects to finish the year on a strong note despite the challenged faced by its metro stores due to the online grocery channels including quick commerce.
During the quarter, the company opened 10 new stores to end with 387 stores as of December 2024.
