Australian, Indian designers to showcase at Australia Fashion Week India in February 2025

Australia Fashion Week India (AFWI) conceptualised by Bollywood actor Vishwajeet Pradhan and his wife Sonalika Pradhan’s Meilleur Events will see participation by leading Indian, Australian designers at a three-day event scheduled to be held in February 2025 in the city of Mumbai.

AFWI will have fashion shows, high-end gala nights, and exclusive awards night bringing together some of the biggest names from the fashion, entertainment, and business world from both countries.

The event will also create business opportunities by connect international buyers, fashion houses, and retailers.

The highlight of the event will be special section devoted to designers, performers & models from the indigenous community of both countries with Australian Aboriginal Artists brand ‘Better World Arts’ doing the opening act.

Talking about the event, Vishwajeet Pradhan told FashionNetwork.com, “AFWI’s vision is to foster cross-border collaboration, where the fashion industries of India and Australia come together to engage with global audiences. This event aims to act as a catalyst for business, culture, and creativity, offering designers from both countries a prestigious platform to showcase their work to an international audience.”

Sonalika added, “AFWI will be a platform for creative exchange, where the Indian and Australian fashion scenes can collaborate, learn, and innovate. This will help both countries’ designers gain international exposure while opening doors for collaborative business ventures across borders.”

As part of the event, AFWI has launched the Meilleur Events Mentorship Program to support emerging designers build sustainable business in the fashion industry. Additionally, the event will also feature a student exchange program.
