American Eagle launches EBO in Chandigarh

Global denim and casual wear brand American Eagle has bolstered its brick-and-mortar presence in North India and launched an exclusive brand outlet in Chandigarh. Located in the city’s Nexus Elante shopping mall, the store launched with a range of casual spring and summer styles. 

“Discover fashion that feels as good as it looks,” announced Nexus Elante on Facebook, sharing images of the new outlet. “Explore stylish pieces for every occasion at the newly relocated American Eagle store in Nexus Elante. Visit today!”

Flanked by two large digital screens, the store’s open facade leads shoppers into the bright space, punctuated by wooden accents. The right side of the store is dedicated to the label’s women’s collections and the left to its men’s offerings. With its walls covered floor to ceiling with jeans, the store has a heavy focus on American Eagle’s signature denim line. 

American Eagle joins a host of Indian and international fashion and lifestyle brands in the Nexus Group mall including Woodland, Fossil, Seiko, The Pant Project, Giva, Bluestone, Boss, and Mia by Tanishq among others, according to the shopping centre’s website. Nexus Elante is situated on a 1.2 million square foot land parcel and houses over 225 labels. 

American Eagle Outfitters Inc was founded in the US in 1977 by entrepreneurial brothers Jerry and Mark Silverman. In India, the label retails with Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited and opened its first store in the country in Noida in 2018.
