Amazon seller Cocoblu Retail plans to enter India’s swift growing quick commerce market. Cocoblu’s parent company Rattan India has renamed one of its business entities as ‘Cocoblu Quick Commerce’ as part of the move, according to its recent filing at the Registrar of Companies.
Rattan India has altered the objectives of one of its existing businesses, now renamed as Cocoblu Quick Commerce, to retail business from its previous incarnation as wholesale trade, according to data from the Registrar of Companies, sourced by business intelligence platform Tofler. This development shows the business’ plan to focus on quick deliveries, ET Tech reported.
Amazon India itself has also begun looking to the country’s booming quick commerce market and has stared testing a quick commerce pilot programme in the Bengaluru metro area with an initiative currently named ‘Tez’. The service could go live in as soon as a few weeks, the Economic Times reported.
Cocoblu handles a large portion of Amazon India’s orders in the country. If Amazon India works closely with Cocoblu Quick Commerce, it would have access to significant support for its quick commerce ambitions in the Indian market.
