Former NFL running back Alex Collins has died aged 28.
The star, who played for the Seattle Seahawks and Baltimore Ravens, was driving a motorbike when it crashed into an SUV car on Sunday night, in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida, police said.
The car was making a left turn when Collins’s bike hit its rear passenger side, launching him through the window of the vehicle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, whose name was withheld, remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities, the Brown County Sherrif’s Office said.
