Bollywood veteran Ravindra Berde was an actor who was associated with the Indian film industry for decades. He entertained the audience with his performance in movies like Nayak: The Real Hero, and Singham. But sadly, the actor left us for his heavenly abode at the age of 78. His co-star Ajay Devgn mourned the demise of his co-star on social media.

Actor Ajay Devgn shared screen space with seasoned actor Ravindra Berde in the action movie Singham. As he died following a battle against throat cancer, Devgn took to social media and extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the actor penned, “Absolutely saddened to hear about Ravindra Berde Ji’s passing this morning. Truly a timeless performer. Sending my heartfelt condolences to his entire family, may his soul rest in peace.”

Reportedly, the senior actor was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2011. For the past couple of months, he has been receiving treatment for the same and was hospitalized at Mumbai’s Tata Hospital. Maharashtra Times reportedly that two days ago, Berde was released from the hospital. But suddenly, he suffered a cardiac arrest and sadly, we lost the gem of the Indian film industry on Wednesday morning.
About Ravindra Berde
In his extensive film career, Ravindra Berde worked in scores of movies across languages after starting his career as a theatre artist in 1965. The brother of late actor Laxmikant Berde was also a well-known celebrity in the Marathi film industry. People still remember him from movies like Shodh, Hum Do Anjaane, Bhootachi Shala, Shripa, Shasan, and Khalnayak. As per online reports, Berde had also suffered a heart attack back in 1995. But despite facing challenges related to his health, he continued to relentlessly work in movies and keep his audiences entertained. In his career, he shared screen space with actors like Vijay Chavan, Mahesh Kothare, Viju Khote, Sudhir Joshi, and Bharat Jadhav. Berde is survived by his wife, two children, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren.
