Footwear business Bata India has launched a new headquarters in Gurugram’s Millennium City on the occasion of the global business’ 130th anniversary. The headquarters has been developed following eco-conscious principles as part of the business’ focus on a sustainable future.
“As we celebrate 130 years of global excellence, we’re stepping boldly into the future while staying true to our roots,” said Bata India’s CEO and managing director Gunjan Shah, Indian Retailer Bureau reported. “Project Blue Sky represents Bata India’s evolution, and its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and employee well-being. By creating an environment where smart technology and eco-conscious design converge to inspire creativity and collaboration, we’re not just changing where we work, we’re transforming how we work.”
The headquarters has been granted Platinum LEED Grade-A certification to show that it is a sustainable building. The headquarters has also been developed to promote a collaborative environment with facilities to encourage hot desking.
“As we write the next chapter in Bata’s enduring legacy, we’re ensuring that every step we take is towards a smarter, more sustainable future,” said Shah. With its new headquarters, the business aims to set a new standard for sustainability in corporate India and it also houses a library and wellness facilities.
