More than 50 Palestinians are reported to have been killed in airstrikes on Gaza overnight, Gaza medical sources have said

Five more people were killed in the West Bank, the Palestinian health ministry said.

The health ministry said two people who are yet to be identified were killed in a strike on the Jenin refugee camp.

Israel said it had conducted an airstrike on a compound beneath the Al-Ansar mosque which it says was being used by militants to organise attacks.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian health ministry said Israeli forces shot and killed two men in northern cities in the West Bank – a 19-year-old in Tubas and a 26-year-old in Nablus.

The health ministry said Israeli forces killed a fifth person in the territory overnight.

The West Bank fatalities mean 90 Palestinians have died in the territory since Hamas’s surprise attack on Israel on 7 October, according to the Palestinian health ministry.
