97 Indian businesses showcase goods at Expo Riva Schuh

A total of 97 Indian businesses showcased their products at the 101st leather footwear and accessories trade show Expo Riva Schuh in Italy, including a delegation representing the Indian Council for Leather Exports.

“Consul General attended the inauguration of Expo Riva Schuh Fair along with Council for Leather Exports delegation and interacted with the Indian exhibitors,” announced the Consulate General of India in Milan on Facebook, sharing photos of the trade show. “41 countries participated at the fair, with 47 Indian companies under CLE out of the total 97 companies participating from India.”
 
The Council for Leather Exports highlighted the Indian government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative at the trade show and celebrated India’s craft heritage. Visitors from over 100 countries attended the fair to forge cross-border business connections, according to Expo Riva Schuh’s official website.
 
Expo Riva Schuh will hold its 102nd edition from January 11 to 14 2025 at Riva Del Garda. The trade show will then hold an edition from June 14 to 17, 2025.
 
The Council for Leather Exports works to boost Indian leather exports and production while advocating for the industry in terms of government policy. The traders’ body recently urged the newly re-elected government to extend its production linked incentive scheme to the leather goods sector to boost performance.
