Soezi plans to enter offline retail and expand this year

Online nail art business Soezi plans to enter into and expand in the offline retail market this year. The brand aims to reach more shoppers and stand out from increasing competition in the nail art space.

“When we began, the press-on nails market in India was relatively unexplored as compared to the global market,” said Soezi’s co-founder and Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha, ET Retail reported. “Now, we witness a surge in competition within the same space… The growth of Soezi is the priority right now. Additionally, other categories that I want to invest in and expand are women’s wellness and artificial intelligence.” 
 
Soezi will begin its brick-and-mortar expansion in Tier 1 cities in India then move in to Tier 2 cities in the coming year. The business plans to prioritise employing women in its upcoming stores to promote female empowerment.

Soezi mainly caters to women but also counts children and men amongst its customer base. The brand is also forging ties with India’s LGBTQ+ community. 
 
Sinha, who is known for her roles in a number of Bollywood films, also told ET Retail that she plans to change careers from being a full time actress to being a full time entrepreneur. Sinha is keen to make a mark on India’s fashion and beauty industry.
