Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL)-owned beauty brand Pond’s has partnered with UP Warriorz as their official sunscreen partner for the ongoing season of the Women’s Premier League 2024.

With this association, Pond’s aims to expand its presence in the Uttar Pradesh market and expects the popularity of cricket in India to drive sales.

Commenting on the association, Jinisha Sharma, director of Capri Sports in a statement said, “As we welcome Pond’s into our family, we underscore the importance of strong alliances in propelling women’s cricket to new heights. WPL is a significant platform for brands, and we are elated to have Pond’s and Unilever join the UP Warriorz as an associate partner – sunscreen in this season of WPL 2024. UP Warriorz represents UP and fans across India and we are sure this partnership will provide new opportunities to both brands.”

Harman Dhillon, executive director off beauty & wellbeing at HUL added, “We are excited to come on board as official sunscreen partners for UP Warriorz. With this collaboration we want to encourage more women to step out in the sun and make miracles happen on the field.”

Pond’s is a skincare brand sold in an affordable price bracket. The brand has a long heritage, dating back to the 1840s when the first product was sold in New York.
