Shree Ramkrishna Exports counters Ukraine “war sponsor” allegations in statement

Diamond business Shree Ramkrishna Exports has made a statement to counter a recent claim by the Ukraine National Agency on Corruption Prevention that accused it of being an “international war sponsor” through its diamond trade. Shree Ramkrishna Exports has announced that it is staunch in its commitment to peace.

Shree Ramkrishna Exports said in a statement that it, “has found itself unjustly a target in the web of global geo-politics, misinformation and baseless allegations,” the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council reported on its website. The response is to a claim by the Ukraine National Agency on Corruption Prevention that Shree Ramkrishna Exports has been importing some of its diamonds from Russian business Alrosa, partly owned by the Russian state, against which Ukraine is at war. The business was included in the National Agency on Corruption Prevention’s list of “international sponsors of war,” Tribune India reported. 
 
Shree Ramkrishna Exports said that it reserves its right to take legal action to protect its global image. According to the business, it works within the framework of national and international guidelines and complies with all regulations issued by the United Nations and other national and international authorities.
 
“The heart of SRK’s operations has always been grounded in the principles of transparency, integrity, and ethical conduct,” said the business in a statement, the GJEPC reported. “The company has throughout its illustrious history, adhered to these principles without any exception. Its commitment to responsible business practices has been unwavering, with the track record speaking for itself. Further to this, SRK emphasises unequivocally that it stands for peace and harmony.”
 
Shree Ramkrishna Exports stated that it, “exclusively sources rough diamonds from countries that are active participants in the Kimberley Process, ensuring they have a certified origin.” The business has asserted that it has not had any transactions with UN, US, Indian or OFAC sanctioned entities.
