Shanghai Fashion Week 2024 returns March 25

Shanghai Fashion Week has announced its scheduled return on March 25, unveiling its programming for the Autumn/Winter 2024 season. 

Kicking off the runway shows is iconic brand Le Fame, celebrated for its romantic vintage allure, with a modern interpretation of Shanghainese femininity, drawing inspiration from Oriental eras. Meanwhile, Mithworld will stage the event’s grand finale with its Autumn/Winter 2024 release, drawing inspiration from traditional Chinese dim sum.

Also hitting the runway is Lv Yan with her brand Comme Moi, renowned for its signature “soft sculpture” aesthetic, alongside independent brands like Xiaoli and emerging designer Louis Shengtao Chen, renowned for their whimsical colors and experimental flair. Young talents making their debut showcase in Shanghai Fashion Week include Weiræn, Aubruino, Tension Archive, and Raydots.

Beyond the runway, LabelHood Pioneer Fashion Art Festival returns at Bund Source under the theme “Return to Truth,” collaborating with 16 young designers to unveil their latest collections, including Assignments, Markgong, and Xander Zhou, among others.

At Jing An 800 Show, Kids Wear will present an innovative and cutting-edge children’s fashion visual feast themed ‘Gradual Change’, while New Bund 31 will be hosting nine brand showcases from domestic and international bridal and evening wear.

As part of its mission to establish the ‘largest ordering season in Asia’, there will be over
ten showcases and showrooms making their grand appearances. The Mode Shanghai Fashion Tradeshow, in collaboration with IM Shanghai Changning International, has specifically curated a selection of unique brands, providing a platform for those exhibiting their diverse development.

Various location throughout the city will once again house exhibitions including new this year, Bridal Moda, which will debut at Shanghai International Convention Center, presenting new trends in wedding dresses and formal wear.

Lastly, Shanghai Fashion Week serves as a platform for emerging designers to showcase their talent, with initiatives such as The Next emerging forces section and the R.I.S.E Sustainable Consumption Innovation Platform, highlighting the intersection of design education and market demand.
