Designed to act as a step towards eco-consciousness in the fashion industry, the Lola & Koki collection has been manufactured to be sustainable and durable, the brand announced in a press release. The collection’s bio-material algae beads are water resistant and antimicrobial and can change colour and glow in the dark to add an interactive element to the jewellery. Parasrampuria developed the beans as part of her work to create sustainable materials for the fashion industry.

“The introduction of algae beads as a bio-material for jewellery in India is a groundbreaking move towards sustainability, symbolising the strength and adaptability of Sindhi culture while advocating for environmentally friendly practices,” announced the Roma Narsinghani brand in a press release. “These biodegradable beads not only align with Roma’s commitment to sustainability but also pay homage to her Sindhi roots, reflecting a profound fusion of cultural exploration and environmental consciousness.”

The collection’s bold, ethnic inspired motifs are designed to celebrate the Sindhi community’s signature gold adornments in an eco-friendly way by using eco brass and covered with a gold finish. Earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and rings in the collection are conceptualised of as talismans to be worn individually or layered together. The collection has launched on Roma Narsinghani’s direct to customer e-commerce store.
