Travel, luggage, and accessories brand Mokobara has made its brick-and-mortar retail debut in the state of Tamil Nadu with its new store in Chennai. Located in the city’s Phoenix Marketcity Mall, the outlet brings Mokobara’s pan-India store total to 10.
“Calling all trendsetters in Chennai,” announced Phoenix Marketcity Mall on Facebook. “Your favourite Mokobara bags are now available at Phoenix Marketcity! Explore the latest collection and start your journey in style.”
The store is located on the lower ground floor of the mall and retails travel bags, suitcases, wallets, and other lifestyle goods. Mokobara opened its first brick-and-mortar store in India less than a year ago in Bengaluru’s Phoenix Marketcity Mall in the metro’s Whitefield neighbourhood and has since focused on large cities and metros for its store openings.
“Absolutely thrilled to share that we at Mokobara have hit a major milestone with 10 operational stores spread across over five cities within a span of one year,” wrote Mokobara’s head of business development Ayushi Yadav on Linkedin.
The brand opened its most recent store in Hyderabad’s Sarath City Capital Mall in December last year. Mokobara had also opened its first brick-and-mortar store in Gurugram the same month. The brand launched online in 2020 and today pursues an omni-channel expansion strategy.
