Jailer 2, starring Rajinikanth in the lead role, is slated to release in theaters on October 15, 2026. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the makers of the action drama sequel have unveiled the film’s first single, titled Ala Bolelo.
Rajinikanth starrer Jailer 2 Single Ala Bolelo Out
The makers have unveiled the first single, Ala Bolelo, from the Rajinikanth starrer Jailer 2, with Anirudh Ravichander composing the track. The musician has also lent his voice to the song. The track blends Tamil and Malayalam musical elements, with actors Shamna Kkasim (Purnaa) and Rajesh Madhavan making special appearances.

Similar to Kaavaalaa from Jailer, the track is penned by Arunraja Kamaraj. As several portions of Jailer 2 were shot in Kerala, the song’s musical elements appear to reflect the setting and atmosphere of the film.
Ahead of the film’s Dussehra release, the makers unveiled a 55-second promo. The glimpse begins with Vinayakan’s final dialogue from Jailer, hinting that his actions were part of a much larger network. Building on the events of the first film, Jailer 2 appears to see Muthuvel take on even greater challenges alongside a massive ensemble cast.
In brief appearances, the glimpse features actors such as Suraj Venjaramoodu and Vidya Balan. Moreover, the film is expected to feature SJ Suryah in a key role.
Additionally, Ramya Krishnan, Mirnaa, and Yogi Babu are set to reprise their roles from the first instalment. Hrithik Roshan, Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, and Vijay Sethupathi are also expected to appear in cameo roles.
Rajinikanth’s work front
Following Jailer 2, Rajinikanth will headline Dharman. The film is being co-produced by Kamal Haasan under the banner of Raaj Kamal Films International. Initially planned with Sundar C and Cibi Chakaravarthi, the project is now being directed by Ashwath Marimuthu.
Apart from Rajinikanth, the film also features Simran, Raashi Khanna, Yogi Babu, and others in key roles. The team recently celebrated the superstar’s 51st year in cinema on the film’s sets. The movie is rumored to have Ram Pothineni as the primary antagonist, although no official release date has been announced.
Looking ahead, Rajinikanth is also set to reunite with Kamal Haasan for the tentatively titled KHxRK Reunion. The film will be directed by Nelson Dilipkumar.
