GJEPC opens new Mumbai office at Zaveri Bazaar

The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council opened its second office to date in Mumbai in the city’s Zaveri Bazaar. The new office was launched to increase ease of doing business in the Indian jewellery industry and support the GJEPC’s members.

“The GJEPC new office is strategically situated in the iconic Bazaar to enhance the ease of conducting business, which will be a crucial factor for all manufacturing and trading entities operating in this region,” said the Government of Maharashtra’s IAS principle secretary for industries Harshdeep Kamble in a press release. “This facility will serve as a hub for industry players and strengthen GJEPC’s position as the apex body of the gems and jewellery industry.”
 
The office will serve the GJEPC’s 9,500 members across India in addition to its other offices in Surat, Jaipur, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, and Mumbai. Zaveri Bazaar is home to over 3,000 gem and jewellery manufacturing units, of which approximately 1,300 are GJEPC members and exporters, according to the industry body. 

“GJEPC has consistently worked towards creating a more favourable business environment for our industry members,”said GJEPC chairman Vipul Shah. “The opening of our new office in the bustling Zaveri Bazar is a significant step toward improving accessibility and support for local manufacturers. This new establishment will serve as a convenient point of contact, ensuring an efficient connection between manufacturers and GJEPC.”
 
“With this new office in Zaveri Bazaar, GJEPC will be readily available to offer assistance in various aspects, including MSME support, liaising with government authorities, resolving policy-related challenges, and more,” said the GJEPC’s vice chairman Kirit Bhansali. “This is a moment of celebration, and we are committed to promptly addressing and resolving any issues to further promote a seamless and prosperous business environment for all.”
