Men’s, women’s, and children’s ethnic wear brand Fashor has raised $5 million in a new funding round from venture capital business Blume Ventures. The business plans to use the capital to fuel its omni-channel expansion across India, to build its brand, and to boost its supply chain.
“We are excited to leverage this partnership to drive our next phase of growth, with a continued focus on delivering exceptional value to our customers,” said Fashor’s chief executive Vikram Kankaria, ET Teach reported.
Over the next few years, Fashor plans to launch more than 100 exclusive brand outlets across India. The brand aims to tap into the growing popularity of branded ethnic wear in the country.
“Fashor is making quality fashion available to women, driving freshness in ethnic wear like never before,” said Blume Ventures’ AVP for investments Apurva Dixit. “Priyanka and Vikram have instilled a strong product DNA in Fashor, supported by a scalable supply chain, that enables them to offer price points untouched by national incumbents.”
Fashor was founded by Priyanka and Vikram Kankaria and retails from its direct to customer website. The brand also has a presence on multi-brand e-commerce platforms including Nykaa Fashion and Myntra and just launched its ‘Rakhi’ collection for the coming festivities.
